She began her career in 1999 as the head of a humanitarian mission in western Kosovo. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she first served in Iraq from 2003 to 2004. She then worked for the International Organization for Migration in Iran and the Netherlands, as well as for the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan. She later acted as a consultant for non-governmental organizations in the Middle East.
In 2008, she returned to Czech diplomacy, serving for two years in the office of the First Deputy Minister as the envoy for the civilian and military mission in Afghanistan, and subsequently as the Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan. From 2012 to 2015, she held the position of Consul General in Istanbul. Since 2023, she has been working in the Department of Middle East and North Africa.
