Dear members of the diplomatic community, welcome to a new edition of the Diplomatic Herald.
In this issue, we meet H.E. Maria-Antoaneta Barta, Ambassador of Romania, who reflects on the importance of giving women's voices a stronger place in diplomacy. We also bring you an extensive conversation with Hynek Kmoníček, who reminds us that even in today's turbulent world, "the jungle has its rules". And for those who enjoy diplomatic history, we open the doors of Prague's remarkable Buquoy Palace, the historic home of the French Embassy.
As the Diplomatic Herald continues to grow, we would like to emphasize that this magazine is created not only for the diplomatic community, but for a general public interested in international relations.
We sincerely appreciate any suggestions, comments, article proposals, event invitations, photographs, or news items that embassies, consulates, and other diplomatic missions may wish to share with us. Our ambition is to make this publication a genuine platform reflecting the life and activities of the Diplomatic Corps in the Czech Republic.
We would also be delighted to publish, upon request from embassies and missions, birthday greetings, congratulations on significant anniversaries, career milestones, appointments, and other notable achievements of members of the diplomatic community
Thank you for your trust, cooperation, and support. Together, we can continue building a publication that informs, connects, and celebrates the international diplomatic community.
With respect, DAVID SOUKUP Publisher, Diplomatic Herald
