British Ambassador to the Czech Republic Matt Field has launched the third edition of his Youth Advisers initiative, once again opening the door for young people aged 18 to 26 to take part directly in diplomatic engagement. Through an open call for applications, the Ambassador is inviting a new group of youth advisers to contribute their perspectives, ideas, and priorities to discussions on international affairs and public diplomacy.

The initiative stands out as a creative and forward-thinking approach to diplomacy, reflecting Ambassador Field’s belief that meaningful foreign policy must be informed by the voices of the next generation. By institutionalizing youth input through a transparent and accessible application process, he has positioned the British Embassy as a leader in innovative, participatory diplomacy in the Czech Republic.

Now in its third year, the program has already demonstrated its value by fostering dialogue between diplomats and young people, encouraging civic engagement, and nurturing future leaders. Applications are open until 1 February, offering motivated young applicants a unique opportunity to engage with diplomacy from the inside.
