On the eve of Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Embassy of Canada in Prague was illuminated in orange as a solemn tribute to Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never returned home. The gesture highlighted Canada’s ongoing commitment to remembrance, education, and reconciliation.
Ambassador Emily McLaughlin emphasized the importance of the day, noting: “We honour Survivors, their families, and the children who never came home.” The commemoration in Prague resonated beyond Canada’s borders, underscoring the universal value of truth, justice, and healing in building stronger and more compassionate societies.
