Dani Dayan, Chairman of Yad Vashem and former Consul General of Israel in New York, visited the Jewish Museum in Prague, accompanied by Israeli Ambassador Daniel Meron.
The visit provided a poignant reflection on the rich history and enduring legacy of the Czech Jewish community. Mr Dayan described the experience as deeply moving, particularly when viewing the memorial walls bearing the names of Jews murdered by the Nazis.
He praised the Jewish Museum for its role in preserving memory and educating future generations, noting that the large number of international visitors each year testifies to the profound cultural and historical importance of Czech Jewry within the nation’s identity.
