Irish Ambassador to Czech Republic, Alan Gibbons (photo, left), recently visited the University of Ostrava, where he was warmly welcomed by Rector Petr Kopecký. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on academic cooperation and to highlight the importance of fostering international partnerships in higher education.
Ambassador Gibbons expressed his appreciation for the university’s openness to collaboration and underscored Ireland’s commitment to strengthening educational and cultural ties with Czechia. The visit reflected the shared interest of both countries in advancing academic exchange and innovation.
