Romania’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Antoaneta Barta, held a cordial meeting with Barbora Urbanová, the newly appointed chairwoman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Romania in the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic. 🇷🇴🤝🇨🇿
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the strong and growing partnership between Romania and the Czech Republic, as well as broader European and regional developments. Both sides highlighted the important role that parliamentary diplomacy can play in strengthening bilateral relations and fostering deeper cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Barta welcomed the establishment of the new friendship group and expressed her appreciation for the Czech Parliament’s continued interest in maintaining close ties with Romania. Friendship groups within national parliaments often serve as valuable platforms for dialogue, enabling lawmakers to exchange views on political, economic, and cultural cooperation.
For her part, Urbanová reaffirmed her commitment to supporting constructive engagement with Romania and to further developing the partnership between Prague and Bucharest. The discussion also touched on shared priorities within the European Union and the importance of maintaining strong regional cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe.
