On June 26, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Prague hosted a ceremonial reception to mark Slovenia’s Statehood Day. The event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, H.E. Aleš Balut (photo), Czech officials, and friends of Slovenia in celebration of the country’s independence and democratic values.
The evening’s guest of honor was Mrs. Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, whose presence underscored the strong and enduring ties between Slovenia and Czechia. The celebration highlighted not only Slovenia’s national achievements but also the close partnership and shared European outlook of the two countries.
