The British Embassy in Prague July 11 welcomed the Peterhouse Choir from Cambridge during their visit to the Czech Republic. The ensemble gave a moving performance at the embassy, as well as during the “Evening of People of Goodwill” held at Velehrad.
The occasion commemorated the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Czechoslovak pilots who served in the Royal Air Force. The visit and performances offered a powerful cultural expression of remembrance and the enduring bonds between the United Kingdom and Czech Republic.
